Sharona Heeroma has been with Pels Rijcken’s Civil Procedural Law team since 2015. She specialises in civil procedural law and mainly represents the Dutch government and local authorities, including provinces and municipalities. In addition, Sharona litigates in civil cases with public (international) law aspects. Her focus is on civil procedural law and (government) liability law.
Sharona received her master’s degree in Dutch Private and Criminal Law from the University of Groningen. During her studies, she gained experience in the judiciary and the legal profession. Her master’s thesis on the (uniform) document for initiating civil law proceedings was published as a book. Sharona continues to publish regularly on civil procedural law. She is deputy secretary of the Dutch Procedural Law Association and founder of the Young Litigators Association.
