We are Pels Rijcken. Together we share the mindset to perform at the highest level every day. We encourage each other to get the best out of ourselves and we put the interests of our clients first. At Pels Rijcken we realise that the truth is never one-dimensional. Apparent conflicts may conceal common ground. Interests may collide, but other interests may align. This is ever more true in a society that is becoming increasingly complex and interconnected. We are in touch with the world around us and that makes us stand out within the legal profession. We understand what it is like to balance complex interests and take the varying wishes of different stakeholders into account. We know that context matters. And that an independent legal perspective makes the difference. Pels Rijcken. Clarity and coherence.
Organisation and the Board
Pels Rijcken ranks among the top ten law firms in the Netherlands. One of our partners is the State Advocate.
In 1969 the firms of Leonard Pels Rijcken and Eduard Droogleever Fortuijn merged into what we now know as Pels Rijcken & Droogleever Fortuijn.
The State Advocate: the nation’s attorney
State advocacy originates from the early 14th century. The title of State Advocate has been conferred on a single person since 1879. The present State Advocate is Reimer Veldhuis.
For Pels Rijcken, Corporate Social Responsibility means the following: high-quality provision of legal services with consideration for business performance but also for social aspects and the environment.
Register of legal areas
Lawyers are required to register with the Bar Association in at least one and up to four of the 33 main areas of law.
Employee well-being and a healthy and good, open work environment where there is room for dialogue are very important to us.
