Hedwig studied constitutional and administrative law at Leiden University. Hedwig started working as an attorney at law at Pels Rijcken in 2009. She then worked as a senior lawyer at AKD Amsterdam and as a lawyer at the Legislation and Legal Affairs Directorate of the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport.
