Stijn Visch has been a lawyer since 2017. He litigates and advises across the full breadth of general administrative law, specialising in the application of the General Administrative Law Act (Awb) and the doctrines connected to it. His practice focuses on public funding (subsidies and the financing of public tasks), administrative organisation and inter-administrative relations, and government liability.
He represents (administrative bodies of) the State and decentralised authorities in legal proceedings, before both the administrative and the civil courts. He also advises on the structuring of funding relationships and the resolution of liability matters, mindful of the practical implementation and the political and administrative interests of his clients.
In the field of subsidies and administrative monetary claims, Stijn is a permanent co-author of the eponymous chronicle in the NTB, a leading Dutch administrative law journal. He also lectures regularly on the Awb. He completed the postgraduate Grotius programme in administrative law cum laude.
Stijn studied at the University of Groningen. Until 2020, he practised at AKD.
