Jean-Paul has been a member of Pels Rijcken’s Administrative Law department since 1998. His area of practice includes administrative law in the broad sense with an emphasis on regulations governing administrative organisation, subsidy regulations, enforcement regulations and compensation following lawful or unlawful government action. He assists the Dutch government and local and regional authorities by providing advice and litigating in proceedings at both administrative and civil courts.
In addition to his legal work, Jean-Paul is a regular contributor to the Dutch Journal for Administrative Law (NTB), the Netherlands Law Journal (NJB), and the Administrative Law Blog. He is a regular guest lecturer for public authorities, the Association of Dutch Municipalities, the Study Centre for the Administration of Justice and the Academy for Government Lawyers. Jean-Paul is a member of the appeals committee of the municipality of Breda.
