Floortje de Bruijn joined the firm in 2009 as a lawyer in the administrative law section. Since a few years, Floortje has focused entirely on employment and public service law. Floortje advises and litigates on all aspects of employment law, including individual dismissal procedures, integrity investigations, employee participation and matters at the intersection of private and public law (i.e. 'public employment law'). Her clients include governments and private clients. Her approach is no nonsense and client-oriented.
Floortje studied private law at Utrecht University. She spent part of her studies at the Law Faculty of the University of Copenhagen. Floortje worked as a lawyer at HBN Law & Tax on Bonaire for two years. Floortje is also chairman of the Advisory Committee on Remuneration of Public Officials at the Public Entity of Bonaire. In 2024, Floortje completed the the postgraduate programme in Employment Law (PALA). She is a member of the Association for Labor Law (VvA).
