Ron van der Horst is an attorney-at-law in the Civil (Litigation) Law department. He deals with a wide range of issues across the full spectrum of civil (procedural) law, including government liability law. Ron has particular expertise of private and public international law and human rights law.
Ron obtained two bachelor’s degrees from the University of Groningen, in Dutch Law and International and European Law, both summa cum laude. During his studies, he received several awards and scholarships, including the GUF-100 award for the ‘most excellent’ student of the Faculty of Law. He then completed an LL.M. at Leiden University, specializing in Public International Law, also summa cum laude.
