Laurens Dijkema has been working as an attorney-at-law at Pels Rijcken since January 2026. His practice focuses on a wide range of aspects related to European Law and Dutch administrative law, with a particular focus on state aid, the internal market, and market regulation. He advises Ministries, regulators, and local governments and represents them in both adminstrative and civil legal procedures.
Laurens recieved his bachelor's degree from the Utrecht Law College, the honours programme of Utrecht University. Thereafter, he obtained two master's degrees. At the Utrecht University, he obtained his master's degree in Public International law. In the following year, he completed the master's European Law, again at the Utrecht University. Following the completion of his master’s studies, Laurens undertook a traineeship at the European Commission. He was subsequently affiliated with Utrecht University as a junior lecturer in European law.
