Peter Verbeek is a lawyer in the Administrative Law Section at Pels Rijcken since 2025. He deals with all kinds of aspects of administrative law, especially in the field of public access to government information and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Before joining Pels Rijcken, Peter worked for over six years as a senior legal policy officer at the Directorate for Digital Government of the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations. He contributed to legislative amendments concerning the Personal Records Database (BRP) and the Citizen Service Number (BSN).
In 2020, Peter completed the post-academic master's program (LLM Gov) at the Academy for Legislation and Government Lawyers in The Hague. Prior to that, he graduated cum laude from Utrecht University in constitutional and administrative law. He also obtained a master’s degree in modern political history from the same university.
