Dana van Weerden has been working as an attorney-at-law at Pels Rijcken since 2018. She is part of the practice group Administrative Law, where she assists governments in a variety of administrative law areas. She litigates for and advises ministries, decentralized authorities and enforcement authorities in the public sector. The focus of her practice is on disclosure of information by public authorities, general administrative (procedural) law and supervision and regulation. Dana has particular expertise and experience in the application of the Open Government Act (Woo).
Dana studied Criminology, Law and Child Law at Leiden University. At the Vrije Universiteit she studied Constitutional and Administrative law. During her studies, Dana did internships at the judiciary, in the legal profession and at the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations. She also worked for some time as a legal assistant at the District Court of The Hague.
