Arian de Heer joined Pels Rijcken’s Administrative Law department in 2019, and specialises in general administrative (procedural) law. He has broad experience in a range of topics in administrative law, such as penalty payments, administrative fines, subsidies, compensation for loss, damage, and EU law issues. Arian’s special focus is on general administrative law and oversight and enforcement.
Prior to joining Pels Rijcken, Arian was with the Administrative Law Division of the Council of State for more than none years, dealing with a number of issues relating to (European) administrative law. Arian also was seconded for 2.5 years to the Legal Affairs Department of the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets, where he worked on issues relating to consumers, competition and energy law. Arian graduated from Erasmus University Rotterdam with a master’s degree in Constitutional and Administrative Law.
