Marianne Hirsch Ballin: “I am looking forward to deploy my knowledge and experience in the field of criminal law for Pels Rijcken as a partner. Criminal justice often involves complex conflicts of interests. I see it as an important responsibility to defend the public interest in accordance with the requirements of the rule of law as a lawyer of the State. I also want to continue contributing to a meaningful connection between theory and practice as a professor at VU University Amsterdam."

Sandra van Heukelom-Verhage: "I am pleased that Marianne is joining the partner group. She is a talented lawyer with special expertise in criminal (procedural) law. With her experience in both practice and science, she is able to contribute ideas to our clients on a strategic level from a broader perspective."
