LEXGEN seeks to use an AI assistant to help users quickly navigate through large amounts of legal texts and generate traceable answers. The jury sees in LEXGEN's approach a potential positive impact in the area of access to law because the technology may be suitable for a broad target group of users.
"The social ambition of LEXGEN to make the tool available to the Rechtswinkel and the Juridisch Loket, among others, fits seamlessly with our vision: by supporting others, to be a multiplier of initiatives to improve access to law," says chairmain of the board Sandra van Heukelom-Verhage, who presented the award ceremony.
Access to justice is not a given to everyone. For many reasons, individuals or smaller business owners may find it difficult to determine their legal position and take possible legal action to obtain justice. This is the second year in a row that we are awarding a financial contribution from our Access to Justice Fund. By doing so, we aim to support innovative ideas and projects that promote access to justice in a broad sense.
On the occasion of the Access to Justice Fund 2024 and ImpactFest, a special edition of the Pels Rijcken eMagazine (in Dutch) was produced in which all tenderers were portrayed.
